In every NFL football season, a team will have to find the right balance between offense and defense. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done to prevent a team from having to play in a one-score game at the end of the third quarter. In this article, we will look at some of the key defensive players for the Dallas Cowboys football team.
The Defensive Line: L.Richardson has a group of players that are considered one of the best in the league. I don’t know about you, but I think Dallas Cowboys fans would love to see the team play against this line.
How do you go about stopping a Dallas Cowboys Line like the L.Richardson?
That is one of the questions that coach Gates always asks himself.
Young Guns: That brings us to the Dallas Cowboys Quarterback, Tony Romo. That man, that boy, Romo has all the talent in the world. But, does he have the smarts?
There are few that can stand up to Romo on the football field. You have to wonder if Gates has yet to draft a Quarterback with enough brains to beat Dallas’ Quarterback. In my opinion, Tony Romo should be a high pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Big Tony does have a lot of talent in the form of Ronald Lagares, Jason Witten, and his best buddy, DeMarcus Ware. If the offense can block well enough, then it will not matter how good they are at blocking.
The Tackle Machine: One of the major problems that Dallas has had is that they do not have an arm tackle machine to run the defensive line and stop the run. With a lot of youth in the defensive line rotation, it may be that Gates drafts a young QB that is going to have to find a way to get the ball out quickly.
The J.Green: One of the most feared players in the league has been drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.
Although, he did suffer an injury in college, that was later diagnosed as a strained quadriceps tendon. Of course, Dallas Cowboys GM Jerry Jones will tell you that his man is going to be great no matter what.
Dallas wants to make sure that their offensive line is able to protect Romo. It will be hard for defensive tackles Jason Hatcher and Michael Strahan to stop the fast moving Green.
It seems as if many other teams are scared of L.Richardson’s defensive line. Recently, the New York Giants and Washington Redskins lost games to a defense that was considered one of the best in the league. It appears that Dallas Cowboys will need to come out with a similar defense in order to keep up with the rest of the league.
Getting Out-Coached: It is amazing how other teams seem to be playing Dallas on defense while the Cowboys continue to play bad on offense.
- A lot of this could be chalked up to the poor defensive front and lack of experience on the offensive side of the ball.
- The football team will have a chance to prove that they can dominate on both sides of the ball during the preseason.
- Will they make the playoffs or will they fall back into their sub-par status?
